Dear Community Partner,
We invite you to become a proud sponsor of the 2nd Annual MOD Movement Christmas Fundraiser, an intentional evening of community, purpose, and impact taking place on December 12th, 5:00–10:00 PM at Sacramento Turn Verein. Guests will enjoy a delicious dinner catered by Chef Zenti, live music from popular local band The Jay Rollerz, an open bar, and a live auction. Families can take advantage of the complimentary Christmas portrait studio with professional photographs, and the return of our crowd-favorite mechanical bucking reindeer, a mechanical bull transformed for the holidays that had kids and adults alike lining up all night last year. Upstairs, children will be entertained with sponsored activities so parents can relax and enjoy the evening.
Last year’s inaugural MOD Movement’s Christmas Fundraiser raised $50,000 for MOD Movement in a single evening, and thanks to a dollar-for-dollar match from MyOutDesk, that translated into $100,000 of total community impact! This year, we are aiming higher, and we want you to be part of it. MOD Movement will be raising money for John F. Kennedy High School wrestling program, where the girls’ team is achieving remarkable success on the mat despite operating with almost no funding or resources. We are also raising money for our international impact project, the Home for Women and Children in Lagina, Philippines. This is a home and safe haven for women and girls who have been abused. We will be building a new dorm for teens so that they can have a comfortable space of their own to focus on their recovery and build the skills needed to be self-supporting and live a happy and fulfilling life.
Why Sponsor The MOD Movement Christmas Fundraiser?
- Your dollars go twice as far: every donation raised at our event is matched dollar-for-dollar by MyOutDesk, doubling the impact of every sponsorship.
- Brand visibility: put your brand in front of Sacramento’s business community, civic leaders, and community members attending the event.
- Community leadership: align your brand with a cause that serves local youth and vulnerable communities worldwide.
- Tax deduction: as a 501(c)(3), all sponsorships and donations are fully tax-deductible. We provide receipts for your records.
- Employee & client engagement: bring your team to an inspiring and festive holiday event (tickets included at most sponsorship levels).
Our sponsorship levels are detailed below. We would love to connect with you to discuss how we can create the best partnership for your organization.
Who We Are
MOD Movement is a Sacramento-based nonprofit founded in 2013 by Whitney and Daniel Ramsey. The MOD Movement mission is to uplift underprivileged communities out of poverty and create lasting change.
Whitney Ramsey is a 5th generation Sacramentan; her children are the 6th generation of her family to call this city home. Her family owned the very 1st hardware store in Sacramento, Shorrock’s Hardware, a piece of local history that reflects how deeply rooted the Ramsey family is in this community. Whitney is a California credentialed teacher, and both she and Daniel are Sacramento State alumni. As former competitive athletes themselves (Whitney as a soccer player and Daniel as a wrestler), they have a deep personal passion for giving underprivileged kids access to the same athletic opportunities that shaped their own lives.
Daniel is a licensed real estate broker who has bought and sold hundreds of homes in the Sacramento area over the past 20 years. He is the founder of MyOutDesk and Ramsey Real Estate Development Corporation, with an office located on the Sacramento River, and the Owner of PlayPark Hospitality with hotels spanning the greater Lake Tahoe area.
We are not outsiders asking for your support. We are your neighbors, deeply invested in Sacramento’s future. Over the past decade, our work has spanned from the streets of Sacramento to communities across the Philippines, Peru, and Morocco.
Our Work
In Sacramento, MOD Movement provides sports scholarships and athletic program support to underprivileged local youth. At our inaugural Christmas Fundraiser gala last year, we raised $15,250 for the Rosemont High School wrestling program, a Title 1 school serving kids who needed that support most. Thanks to a dollar-for-dollar match from our founding sponsor MyOutDesk, the team actually received over $30,000 in total. A portion of those funds was used to purchase a Sprinter van, giving the team transportation to out-of-town tournaments for the very first time in the program’s history. These kids had never been able to compete beyond their own backyard simply because they couldn’t afford to get there. Now they can.
Most recently, in April 2026, MOD Movement presented a $10,285 check to the Boys & Girls Club of Lake Tahoe, a total made possible by combining donor contributions with a matching gift from MyOutDesk.
Internationally, our most significant work is at Boystown Orphanage in Manila, Philippines, where MOD Movement has been funding and building facilities for over a decade. Past projects include a home for children with disabilities, a home for the youngest orphans ages 0–5, a home for elders, and an annual Day of Giving where we bring in food, supplies, and fun activities for the kids and elders. Our most recent completed project, finished in under a year, is a large memory care unit that houses elderly residents with special care needs, with an adjacent clinic where nursing staff provide them proper medical care. These are seniors with no family to advocate for them, and MOD Movement has made it our mission to ensure they live with dignity.
Our work extends across the Philippines. In Visayas, we built a library and supplied furniture to Toyungam Integrated School, giving students resources their school could never have afforded. In South Luzon, we equipped a local daycare with needed supplies and designed and built a full kitchen area for the kids entrusted with their care.
We also partner with Give Power, 1 Life Fully Lived, HOW Group Charities, Agape International, Camp Greenleaf, and other aligned organizations to extend our reach. Among these collaborations, we’ve brought solar power to a remote village in the Philippines, funded & built a home for a deserving family in the U.S., and provided financial support to camps and programs that provide a safe haven to kids in under-resourced communities at home and abroad. Please visit our website for more information: https://www.modmovement.org.
Join us in our mission and help to extend the MOD Movement’s reach to make maximum impact locally and abroad. We look forward to partnering with you to strengthen our community!
With gratitude,
Whitney & Daniel Ramsey
